The exhibition in the galleries of the Academy of Venice dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the birth of Tintoretto relates the reciprocal influences of Venetian painters in the 16th century, the competition between them and the means used by painters to attract favours of renown princes and brotherhood of that time: the Scuole. The works presented in that exhibition are communicating between each other and witnessing the ruptures and innovations in form, colour and style to sublime and see in historical themes in a new perspective.
