Colours and singularity to question reproducibility
The experience of color in the Cité de la Céramique à Sèvres highlights 250 years of history of color. Color is no longer a pigment or a chemical reaction which, when it comes out of the kiln, offers a striking object, it becomes a light, a gesture or a space. Color also becomes a subject of reflection and questions what reproducibility is in the age of mass production. During this journey, the visitor moves from one color to another and thus from emotion to another, as neuroscience has clearly shown: colors have an influence on our mood.
A trail to have a new approach to colors and ceramics craft.
Experiencing colors exhibition runs from October 12, 2017 to April 2, 2018 at Cité de la Céramique de Sèvres, Place de la Manufacture, 92310 Sèvres
