A work is in four parts to understand how the company’s processes are interpreted through its different components (chemical precipitates, magnetic pigments, printing machine and . . . new creations).
Colart, a world leader in artistic and creative activities, has been supplying colors and materials for fine arts over these 300 years through 2,500 “recipes” using hundreds of pigments and binders through its brands: Winsor & Newton, Lefranc Bourgeois, Conté à Paris, etc. Colart has conducted, in collaboration with the artist Elladj Lincy Loumeaux and the University of Nantes—CEISAM Laboratory (fluid mechanics, chemistry), an immersive experience consisting of exposing the group’s products to different chemical or physical reactions (texture, miscibility, fluidity, etc.), thus bringing artistic research on painting as a living matter closer to the industrial production of the Le Mans factory.
