A modular work made of recycled fabrics and meta-materials, providing impressive acoustic insulation.
Founded in 1806, in the former Cistercian abbey of Fontaine-Daniel, Toiles de Mayenne is a company based on four main trades: design, manufactured home fabrics, custom-made clothing and personalised decoration advice. To embody the company’s trades and innovation in this Culture au Futur project, the master Pietro Seminelli will work on folding and on new properties of fabrics. The University of Le Mans, through its unique expertise in acoustics, will make new properties realized.
The co-construction workshops Culture au Futur’s call upon the artist’s imagination to create new materials through research in acoustics and thus valorize materials to be recycled.
